John Jennings

As the Chief Financial Officer of Big River Communications, John has provided Big River with financial guidance and expertise since 2002. With more than 25 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, including more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, John is responsible for financial planning, accounting, tax, auditing, treasury, insurance and investor relations.  He is also responsible for all financial reporting, accounting policy and regulatory reporting.

As a communications company leader, John’s experience runs deep. Immediately prior to joining Big River, John led the financial department for Nuvox Communications, a full service communications company providing local, long distance and internet services in 13 states. At Nuvox he oversaw various accounting and executive reporting functions, as well as, Billing, Revenue Assurance, Cost Assurance and Collections.

Prior to joining Nuvox, John was responsible for accounting operations at Brooks Fiber Properties. During his tenure at Brooks he developed executive reporting and oversaw the accounting operations departments, including consolidating reporting and accounting operations for companies that Brooks acquired.

Mr. Jennings holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri and is a Certified Public Accountant.
